Erasmus+ is divided into several Key Actions that cater to different groups and activities:
- Key Action 1: Learning Mobility of Individuals
This action supports the mobility of students, staff, and youth for:

- Study Abroad: Students can spend a semester or academic year at a partner university in Europe.
- Internships: Students and recent graduates can gain work experience through funded internships abroad.
- Teaching and Training: Staff and faculty can teach or attend professional development programs at partner institutions.
- Key Action 2: Cooperation Among Organizations and Institutions
This action focuses on partnerships and collaborative projects, including:

- Strategic Partnerships: Collaborative projects between institutions to innovate and share best practices.
- Capacity Building: Projects to modernize and strengthen higher education systems in partner countries.
- Key Action 3: Support for Policy Reform
This action supports initiatives to improve education, training, and youth policies at the national and international levels.
- Jean Monnet Activities
These activities promote teaching, research, and debate on European Union studies.
- Sport
Erasmus+ also supports grassroots sports projects that promote inclusion, health, and education through sport.
